Java – in Net?

I want to know what's going on here Net, but Java doesn't have much experience

I think applets can be compared with Silverlight, which means you can code independently of the browser, but unlike before (because of other things), you can reuse an applet outside the browser

I need to demonstrate the network technology of college courses based on Java. As long as I can show the same thing, I can use it NET.

Any help or ideas appreciated!

Yes Net, HTTP handler (. Ashx) may be closest to servlet There is no direct equivalent for applets, but Silverlight is probably the closest (although it is closer to flash / JavaFX)
