Track more than 100 synchronized GeoFences using the new Android API
I have about 3500 geographical interest points in an area of 9000 square kilometers. I want my application to run in the background and notify users when they approach any of the above points
The new geofence API introduced during Google I / O 2013 looks very suitable for this work, especially because it is optimized for battery life, but after obtaining the status code geoforce_ TOO_ MANY_ Before GeoFences, it seems that I can't register more than 100 GeoFences (use the modified version to demonstrate the application)
Can I increase this limit? Maybe through some settings or APIs?
resolvent:
I suggest downloading all points to SQLite dB on the device. Then use this thing to find the closest 99 points: SQLite getting nearest locations (with latitude and longitude) and register these points with Android for monitoring
Then set up a "major change" geofence. You can use it to monitor whether the user's location has changed enough. When they exit the geofence, you should reload the nearest points of interest
