Java – Eclipse: show the code source of class files?

I'm running eclipse 3.5 2 and is debugging a class that calls methods - let's call it flaky () - in my other Jar file When I enter flaky (), it displays the source code in the debugger tab with the file name flaky class.

The problem is that the code I see looks old and outdated, so I want to know which file I'm looking at

Is there any way to find the path of the file that eclipse is displaying?

Solution

Go to the package Explorer view and open the file in the current editor Click the use editor links toggle (two arrows) This should jump to the class file you are viewing, which should be in the jar you are using If the jar is in the library, you should see the path of the jar in the package explorer If not, you can see its path in preferences From there, you can also use chin Huang's answer to find the location of a given source file
