Java – spring and Hibernate suddenly set transactions to read-only

We have one in JBoss 4.2 3, using spring 2.5 2 and Hibernate 3.2 6.ga. This is running on Linux jee01 2.6 16.60-0.54. On 5 - SMP, use your own users Write Oracle 10g database on another machine

We use standard view – > service – > channel layering Where each Dao is annotated with @ repository

All these are running around the clock without many problems, but every few days, sometimes for a period of time, the whole system enters a bad state, and nothing can be written to the database These stack traces appear in the log:

org.springframework.dao.InvalidDataAccessApiUsageException: Write operations are not
      allowed in read-only mode (FlushMode.NEVER/MANUAL):
Turn your Session into FlushMode.COMMIT/AUTO or remove 'readOnly' marker from transaction
      deFinition.

We scan the complete system. There is a location in the system. The flush mode is temporarily set to manual, and then the finally block sets it back to the original value This is because we do not want to refresh the status to the database before running this query So we can't change it easily The normal flushmode is set to auto, and we temporarily set it to commit in several places and switch it back to the default value

Only when the server is started can the system be restored to normal working state

The question is: why does the system set all transactions to read-only / manual refresh mode? I Google, but I can't find a solution

It's all good

Solution

This exception comes from the following code in the hibernatetemplate class of spring:

protected void checkWriteOperationAllowed(Session session) throws InvalidDataAccessApiUsageException {
    if (isCheckWriteOperations() && getFlushMode() != FLUSH_EAGER &&
            session.getFlushMode().lessThan(FlushMode.COMMIT)) {
        throw new InvalidDataAccessApiUsageException(
                "Write operations are not allowed in read-only mode (FlushMode.NEVER/MANUAL): "+
                "Turn your Session into FlushMode.COMMIT/AUTO or remove 'readOnly' marker from transaction deFinition.");
    }
}

The reason for this check is explained:

Did the bell ring?

There may be some errors in your code or spring orm To disable this check, you can call setcheckwriteoperations (false)
