Java – what is the character char ‘0x8’?

I have a lot of data in the database When I try to read a part of the data, generate some XML and send it to the web service, I get the following exception

‘java. Character '0x8' in lang. illegalargumentexception '

I guess it's some bad data because it has worked perfectly for about 7 months, but now some users have uploaded some new data that seems to have some problems

Anyone knows what character this is, so I can run an SQL query and clear it from the database? Thank you in advance
