Java – why do most web hosting services only support PHP as a server-side language?

I've been using Java and python, so I found a good web host that supports these

But my question is, why can you find such a difficult host?

I understand that PHP is easy, and I also understand that Oracle hosts are hard to find (of course $$$), but they are interested in some good open source, completely free Java spring, JSP, Django, python, ror, Perl, etc

It's hard to find a host... Let alone a freelancer's bid

thank you.

Solution

Using Java, hosting is more complex You can't just load mod_ Instead of Java, you need Tomcat or JBoss, or some other servlet / JSP hosting environment. Their configuration and maintenance are very important

With Python, I don't think it's as common as web services I use much more Python than PHP, but I don't tend to use it for web content except for the occasional Django website (mind, our company collects Java personal data, but provides Python "free", which is the same as PHP)
