Converting an image to a cylinder in Java
•
Java
I didn't find any examples in OpenCV to convert a flat image into a cylinder in Java. I wanted it to render the image in 2D instead of 3D, and I didn't find any sample code or books Below is the image of the image I want to distort around the cup
A good book and sample code will be appreciated
I have done so far It is recommended that my @ amitay sag the image. Use this example wrap image around cylinder, but insist on conversion

Solution
Please see the answer in warp image to appear in cylindrical projection
You only need to change two things:
>Because you want a convex projection instead of a concave, you need to change the function convert_ Lines of code in Pt
From:
float zc = (2*z0+sqrt(4*z0*z0-4*(pc.x*pc.x/(f*f)+1)*(z0*z0-r*r)))/(2* (pc.x*pc.x/(f*f)+1));
to
float zc = (2*z0-sqrt(4*z0*z0-4*(pc.x*pc.x/(f*f)+1)*(z0*z0-r*r)))/(2* (pc.x*pc.x/(f*f)+1));
>Convert all the rest of the code form C to Java
Good luck
