Java – can JBoss seam be used on applications that are not web applications?

I mean, can seam be used in back-end applications that only provide functionality through remote EJBs or web services or MDB or other means? (so there are no HTTP sessions or requests)

If so, how was it launched? Since a listener is declared in the file "web. XML" in the Web context, where does seam start in the described scenario?

Solution

No, seam is JSP based and requires servlet / JSP engine and web container This is neither possible nor desirable

Creating a service - based back - end independent of the user interface is really a good idea You can use EJB or hibernate to achieve this goal But you don't need seam
