Can anyone suggest a better open source Java API to call rest services? I also want to know if the restlet API supports NTLM authentication

This is rest - the point is that you don't need an API, just httpurlconnection You should be able to interact with any truly restful service using only the basic Java SDK You can use Apache commons HTTP client for more advanced functionality – but this is not required
