Splitting Java collections into subsets based on object properties

I have a list of myobjects... MyObject {int ID, string name} Now I want to split the list into sub lists with the same "Id" value, and anyone can suggest an effective way to do so

        // a new list
        temp = new ArrayList<MyObject>();

        subs.put(o.getId(),temp);
    }
