Is java – WADL the standard for rest applications?

Is WADL a true standard like WSDL?

I created a HelloWorld example in Jersey, and I got WADL from the URL Then I use "WADL client plugin" to create a client that works

My question is: if I use another WADL generating framework (i.e. CXF), can I use it to create clients in my "WADL client plugin"?
