Upgrade from A-Series to D-series azure virtual machines

We installed SQL sever.com on a series of virtual machines We want to upgrade to D series virtual machines Is it as simple as upgrading VM in azure and clicking save, or do you need to pay attention to anything else? The hardware infrastructure for A-Series VMS is not applicable to D-series VMS The cluster hosting VMS may have the hardware configuration required to create a series VMS separately

However, if you still want to change from A-Series to D-series VM, you must export the disk using the previously saved disk and create a new VM

Move on as a solution: when you create the first VM in cloud service, be sure to specify one of the D-series sizes, even if you don't need it immediately After this operation, your cloud service will be "bound" to clusters that support A-Series (except A8 / A9) and D-series, and then support all future VMS contained in the same cloud service Now, you can create other a series virtual machines and mix them in the same cloud service If you do not need the first D - series VM, you can safely delete it now
